This was our ride (and about to be our home for the next 9.5 hours) from Houston nonstop to Frankfurt, Germany.  Lufthansa flight 441, 4:30 pm departure with Boeing 747-400 service.

At sea approaching Stromboli.  We didn't vist, just passed by on our way to the Straits of Messina.

It was unbelievable how calm the seas were that day.  Virtually no wind.  This looks more like a lake than the Mediterranean Sea!
