The villa's living area/den/sitting room.  Or whatever the proper term is. 

The marble staircase - beautiful but steep and potentially treacherous on the curvy part.  Luckily, nobody fell during our visit.

Looking up the stairwell.  The two rooms mom, dad and I shared were up on the third level - we had to go ALL the way up there.

The stairwell - the villa had 4 stories including the cupola.  The wooden ceiling you see is the ceiling of the cupola, three levels up from the ground floor (where this pic was taken).

The "catacombs" under the villa.  Actually, we figured this area was likely used as a wine cellar or something similar.

A morning view of Rome from the villa's cupola.  This was probably the clearest morning/day and one of the few times we could see Rome clearly from Rocca.  You can see the dome of Saint Peter's Basilica almost center-shot.

View of Lake Albano caldera, portions of Castel Gandolfo, and the Med beyond.  The shore is about mid-shot in the distance.  The clear morning provided the clearest view of the Med we had our entire trip.
