The only remains of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, just outside of Selçuk and very near Ephesus. I geotagged the actual location of the temple rather than where I was standing when I took the picture (using the super zoom on my camera from the Basilica of St. John).

A shot of Selçuk, the modern city adjacent to the Basilica of St. John.  The two-domed building to the right is the İsabey Mosque that dates from 1374.  Kind of interesting that a mosque is right next to the ruins of a basilica that once housed the remains of the Apostle Saint John...

The tomb/crypt of the Apostle Saint John inside the ruins of the basilica.  While his remains are no longer there, they were kept there at one time when the basilica was intact.  The basilica was built over the believed site of John's burial.
